After booking our holiday to Thailand and researching all of the beautiful places and islands that can be visited, it wasn’t long until we started looking at it for a wedding destination as well. We had always wanted to get married abroad, and after discussing it and deciding to go for it, it wasn’t long until we found the picturesque Phi Phi Island Village, it was an easy decision and we couldn’t wait to get things booked! Initially myself, and my partner were going to try and do all the legal side of things on our own, we researched into it, and thought that because Bangkok was our first destination, that we would manage to get things sorted there, then everything would fall into place! (Baring in mind that we actually only made the decision to get married in Thailand, 6 weeks before we were due to fly out!) Then after everything that happened on route to Newcastle Airport for our flight to Bangkok, I couldn’t be more grateful that we booked through Creative Events Asia, Natasha was amazing and I couldn’t thank her more!
On route to the airport, I was doing all the regular checks as I had already done several times at home before leaving, passports, money, etc, embassy appointments, doubled checked the time and because of the time difference, I hadn’t thought, and I had booked the wrong time, and we were going to miss our appointments as we wouldn’t have even been off the plane yet! – What was I thinking!? I called the embassy – no appointments until after we were due to get married! I called Natasha and she calmed me down and re-assured me (by this point I was in tears!) She organised everything from their end whilst we were on our flight and she managed to change our appointment! This did mean that we had to change our holiday plans slightly and some of our internal flights had to be re-arranged in order to go back to Bangkok, but this was my own fault and I was so pleased we hadn’t decided to do it on our own! I think I would have given up! So everything got sorted at the embassy, and our wedding day finally came, it was perfect, so relaxed and stress free, just the way a wedding should be! We made the decision to have no guests, and didn’t even tell anyone other than our parents that we were getting married! We wed just the two of us on the beautiful island of Phi Phi and it was everything we hoped for and more! I cant thank Natasha, and everyone else at Creative Events Asia more! As you can imagine the flight and the thought of missing our embassy appointments was very stressful and worrying, but Natasha was a Godsend and sorted everything for us, she went above and beyond what was expected of her, she could have quite easily turned around and said that we would have to cancel but she didn’t and I’m so pleased because our wedding day was perfect! – Thank you!!
